Woodgate Convinced Boro Have Found A Gem After Seeing New Signing Just A Few Times in Training

Middlesbrough manager Jonathan Woodgate has claimed that January loan signing Harold Moukoudi has all the attributes to make it in the Premier League.

The Boro boss has only seen the 22-year-old in a limited number of training sessions but he is already convinced that the centre-back can go on to do bigger and better things:

“I thought he was very good, really good. I think he’s a Premier League player in the making in my view and I’ve only seen him in a few training sessions. He’s got all the attributes to play in the Premier League in my opinion.”

As a former centre-half himself, Woodgate will know a thing or two about making it at the highest level, and so his words about Moukoudi should get Boro supporters excited.

The Cameroon international did not, though, get off to the best of starts for the Teessiders, having played the full 90 minutes as his side lost 3-2 against Brentford at the weekend.

Moukoudi will be looking to improve on that performance by hopefully keeping a clean sheet when Middlesbrough face Wigan Athletic in an important game at the bottom of the Championship this evening. If Boro win, they can go ten points clear of the bottom three.
