Woodgate Dismisses Talk That New Signing Will Disrupt Boro Dressing Room

Middlesbrough manager Jonathan Woodgate has hit back at talk that new signing Ravel Morrison will disrupt the dressing room harmony at the club.

The 27-year-old has had a reputation of being a troublemaker at past clubs including Manchester United, West Ham, Lazio and QPR but the Boro boss says he has seen no signs of that and he is confident that all of his January signings will have a positive effect on the squad:

“Not one of the lads we have signed will be a problem in there. Not at all. We’ve got really good senior lads in there who dominate the dressing room and look after the young lads. All the players we’ve brought in this transfer window will fit in absolutely perfect.”

Morrison has moved to the Riverside Stadium on loan until the end of the season but he has yet to make an appearance for the Championship club after missing out on the matchday squad for the 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers last weekend.

The Jamaican international has been impressing Woodgate in training and the Boro head coach is keen to see the midfielder play a number of games on the bounce. We shall have to wait and see whether he features against Brentford on Saturday.
