Middlesbrough are close to signing former Chelsea defender Todd Kane, according to reports in the English media.

The 25-year-old is available on a free transfer after being released by the Blues at the back end of last month. He played out on loan at Hull City last season making 41 appearances in the Championship.

Tottenham are reportedly looking to sign Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon by the end of the week.

Spurs are believed to have offered £20m plus add-ons, and could also include either Josh Onomah or Georges-Kevin Nkoudou in the deal with the Cottagers keen on both players.

Former Boro defender Ben Gibson could be on the move this summer with Burnley willing to sell the 26-year-old.

According to reports, Leeds have joined both Newcastle and the Teessiders in pursuing the centre-back, with all three promoted Premier League sides, Aston Villa, Sheffield United and Norwich also interested in the player.
