Transfer Rumours: Forest Snap Up Two Boro Targets, Leeds Consider Swoop For Stoke Anchor Man And Derby Pursue Wolves Ace

Nottingham Forest have beaten Middlesbrough to the signing of two Benfica players.

Boro were reportedly pursuing both left-back Yuri Ribeiro and midfielder Alfa Semedo, but the pair have moved to the City Ground instead.

Ribeiro has made the switch to Forest on a permanent basis while Semedo has joined on a season-long loan deal.

Leeds are weighing up a move for Stoke City defensive midfielder Ryan Woods, according to reports in the English media.

The 25-year-old only moved to the Bet365 Stadium on loan at the start of last season before sealing a permanent move in the January transfer window.

However, Woods barely featured in the second half of the campaign under manager Nathan Jones and Leeds could take the player off their hands if they sell Kalvin Phillips.

Derby County are considering a bid for Wolves winger Ivan Cavaleiro, according to reports.

Huddersfield Town and Fulham are also after the Portuguese wide man who signed from Monaco in 2016 for a then club-record £7m. The 25-year-old has, however, fallen down the pecking order at Molineux, having started just six league games last season.
