Woodgate Reveals He Would “Love” To Seal Double Summer Transfer

Middlesbrough manager Jonathan Woodgate has confirmed he would like to see both Patrick Roberts and Harold Moukoudi at the club next season.

The two players are on loan at the Riverside Stadium until the end of the season, but the Boro boss says he’d be happy to see them remain on Teeside if the club have the financial resources to make it happen:

“We don’t know how things are going to work out, but I’d love to sign them, I’m a big fan of them both.”

At this point in time, it is very hard to predict when the transfer window will be open, let alone who could be moving Middlesbrough this summer.

With Boro still not knowing what division they will be playing in, combined with the prospect of any future matches being played behind closed doors, there is no certainty as to what the transfer budget will be.

Saint-Etienne are believed to be open to selling Moukoudi but whether the Championship side could afford his transfer fee, it remains to be seen.

In terms of Roberts, Manchester City are said to be keen to keep hold of him and perhaps loan him out once more to another Premier League club. Another temporary move to the North East could, though, still be a possibility.
