West Ham Among Three Teams Battling To Secure Boro Starlet

Middlesbrough left-back Williams Kokolo is being pursued by West Ham, Napoli and Bayern Munich, according to reports in the English media.

The Frenchman only joined from Sunderland earlier this month, after signing a two-year contract with the Teessiders but he is still on the radar of other clubs.

Hammers boss David Moyes, who coached the Black Cats between 2016 and 2017 is reportedly a big fan of the player, although it looks as though he will face fierce competition to sign the defender.

Boro could well make a significant profit on Kokolo if they do opt to offload the fullback. They managed to snap up the 19-year-old with his contract running down at Sunderland so minimal compensation would have been required.

Manager Jonathan Woodgate has looked to blood youngsters in the first team but with Hayden Coulson standing in Kokolo’s way, the French defender may have a challenge on his hands to get games when the season resumes.
