Transfer News – Bristol City To Make Summer Move For Boro Ace, Aberdeen Captain Holds Talks With Derby & Villa Target Vukovic

Bristol City remain interested in signing Middlesbrough striker Britt Assombalonga, according to reports in the local media.

The Robins were looking at the 26-year-old during the January transfer window but Boro were not willing to sell up. Lee Johnson’s side are hoping that the Teessiders will be more receptive to a bid in the summer.

Aberdeen captain Graham Shinnie is in discussions with Derby County over a potential free transfer at the end of the season.

The midfielder has been allowed to travel to Pride Park for talks as he is suspended for the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic on Sunday,

Derby are not the only team interested in the 27-year-old, though, with Sheffield United, Bristol City, Hearts and Rangers all reportedly keen to sign him when his contract expires in June.

Reports in the Italian media have suggested Aston Villa have joined Lazio and Rangers in pursuing Maritimo midfielder Josip Vukovic.

The Croatian only moved to Portugal last year but has played regularly in a holding midfield role since his summer arrival.
