Pulis wants former winger back at Boro

Middlesbrough are reportedly targeting Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah, just two years after he left the Riverside.

Villa are said to be listening to offers for the forward, who signed from Middlesbrough back in 2016 for an undisclosed fee, with Bristol City and Boro among those interested.

The 30-year-old scored 15 goals in 40 games last season for Villa, ending the season as one of their best performing players. However, with the Midlands-based side’s current financial crisis, it seems as if they are willing to let some of their highest earners leave.

Middlesbrough are the favourites to re-sign Adomah, with Tony Pulis reportedly a big fan of the Ghana international.

Adomah is understood to be willing to stay at Villa Park but with the club in need of selling players it seems likely he will leave this summer.

With two years left on his contract still, the forward won’t exactly come cheap, but striking a deal would be a great coup for Boro if they could pull it off.
