Prutton Predicts Whether Middlesbrough Will Get A Result At Huddersfield

After the 1-0 defeat to West Brom last time out, the pressure is on Middlesbrough manager Jonathan Woodgate to get a result against fellow strugglers Huddersfield Town tomorrow night.

Boro go into the match 21st while the Terriers are one place below them in 22nd after their 2-2 draw versus Blackburn Rovers at the weekend. New boss Danny Cowley has begun to turn things around recently, though, and Sky Sports pundit David Prutton is expecting a home victory:

“Huddersfield are back in the relegation zone but that won’t worry Danny Cowley too much as he continues to make his mark on the team. Middlesbrough, meanwhile, could easily end the midweek round of games in the relegation zone.”

“The club will be desperate to give Jonathan Woodgate time but they need to improve quickly. I can’t see them getting anything on Wednesday.”

Prutton has gone for a 2-0 win for Huddersfield and considering Middlesbrough are on an awful run at the moment, it is not a surprise prediction

Woodgate’s side having picked up just one point from their last five games, and have only managed two draws and three defeats on their travels so far this season, so the odds are stacked against the Teessiders.

There were signs of improvement in the loss to the Baggies, with Boro going head to head against the league leaders, but the lack of goals is a major concern. Woodgate will be hoping for more luck in front of goal at the John Smith’s Stadium.
