Middlesbrough V Crystal Palace – Team News And Predicted XI

Riverside Stadium

Middlesbrough manager Tony Pulis is expected to name a much-changed side against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup tie tonight.

He will be without Ryan Shotton who is sidelined with a knee injury, and it is expected that Paddy McNair will keep his place after deputising in recent games as a right wing-back.

On-loan Wolves defender Danny Batth is likely to start in defence, alongside fellow loanee Sam McQueen while club captain Grant Leadbitter, Lewis Wing, George Saville and Marcus Tavernier are all expected to come into the starting lineup.

Upfront, Ashley Fletcher may get a rare start, while Martin Braithwaite could be in line for a place in the first eleven after being named on the bench for the game against Derby at the weekend.

For Crystal Palace, they are still without long-term injury absentees, Christian Benteke and Scott Dann. Joel Ward is also still out, but Max Meyer could come into the side after starting in the last two rounds of the League Cup.
