Middlesbrough V Blackburn: Team News, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Middlesbrough manager Jonathan Woodgate will be very frustrated about the hamstring injury suffered by loanee Patrick Roberts. The winger is expected to spend six to eight weeks on the sidelines.

There was some good injury news, though, with captain George Friend (tendon) and Ryan Shotton (knee) closing in on returns from their respective injuries. They won’t be available to face Blackburn tomorrow but they are expected to play for the Under 23s this week. Britt Assombalonga is also back in contention following an ankle injury.

Middlesbrough’s Predicted XI To Face Blackburn:

Pears, Spence, Howson, McNair, Fry, Johnson, Wing, Saville, Tavernier, Fletcher, Assombalonga

Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray will be without Joe Rothwell due to a hamstring problem. Bradley Dack (knee) and Corry Evans (head) are both out for the long term.

Blackburn’s Predicted XI:

Walton, Nyambe, Lenihan, Adarabioyo, Bell, Travis, Holtby, Downing, Gallagher, Armstrong, Bennett

The bookmakers have Boro as the favourites with Betway pricing them at 7/5 for the win. A draw is 23/10 with BetVictor while a Blackburn victory is 12/5 at Unibet.

Predicted Score – 1-1
