Leeds V Middlesbrough: Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Middlesbrough manager Jonathan Woodgate would have been delighted to get back to winning ways against Barnsley last night but the games come thick and fast in the Championship.

They face a tough trip to Elland Road on Saturday with Leeds currently sitting second in the table after picking up three points against Reading midweek.

Boro will also be hindered by their injury situation with Anfernee Dijksteel (knee) and Paddy McNair (thigh) having joined the injury list after being substituted in the 1-0 win versus the Tykes.

The pair are doubts for the weekend, and they join George Friend (thigh), Marcus Browne (hamstring), Ryan Shotton (knee), Rudy Gestede (hamstring) and Darren Randolph (thigh) on the treatment table.

There is some good news for Woodgate, though, with George Saville returning from his three-match suspension. Marvin Johnson remains suspended after his red card against Hull City.

Middlesbrough’s Predicted XI To Face Leeds:

Pears, Howson, McNair, Fry, Ayala, Coulson, Saville, Wing, Tavernier, Fletcher, Assombalonga

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has Tyler Roberts (muscular), Adam Forshaw (hip) and Eddie Nketiah (muscular) unavailable for the game.

Leeds’ Predicted XI:

Casilla, Ayling, Cooper, White, Dallas, Hernandez, Phillips, Klich, Costa, Bamford, Harrison

The bookies have Leeds as firm favourites with Unibet pricing them at 7/20 to get the win. A draw is 9/2 with Betfred while a victory for Boro is currently 11/1 at Bet365.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to Leeds
