Middlesbrough are keeping tabs on Bristol Rovers striker Jonson Clarke-Harris, according to Bristol Live. The website reports that Boro, along with Reading, Preston and Hill are interested in the 25-year-old.

Manager Jonathan Woodgate is keen to strengthen his forward line with the Teessiders having struggled to score goals this season. Clarke-Harris has already hit the back of the net seven times in eleven appearances, following on from his excellent form last campaign.

Middlesbrough’s Head of Recruitment Gary Gill has been monitoring Clarke-Harris since the back end of last season when the forward scored 16 goals in League One.

A bid for the striker in January is possible but a move may be complicated if Bristol Rovers manage to secure the player to a new long-term deal. He has under two years left on his contract at the Memorial Stadium and the Pirates are keen on extending his stay with the club.
