Boro Among Six Teams Targeting January Deal For 6ft 2 Frontman

Middlesbrough are leading a group of six Championship clubs who are keeping tabs on Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes, according to reports in England.

Swansea, Cardiff, Blackburn Rovers, Bristol City and Derby have also been scouting the 24-year-old over the past few months after an impressive start to the season in the Scottish Premiership.

Dykes only made his debut for Livingston back in August after three years at Queen of the South, but he has made a big impression during his first campaign at the club.

The forward has scored five goals and provided two assists in 14 appearances this season, including the second in a 2-0 win over Celtic last month.

Whether Dykes has the goals and experience required to play in the Championship, it remains to be seen. Boro boss Jonathan Woodgate is keen to recruit more firepower in the January transfer window and it appears that the 6ft 2 Australian is high on the list of targets.
